As Long as it Takes 

 

As long as it takes, I’m here, I’m not giving up on us; on you. 

The universe conspired to bring us together in this life as before and that means something more. 

So, as long as it takes, I will follow your lead, taking it slow, until you’re confident this love is true. 

I’m here, as promised; for as long as it takes, because we are supposed to be together; I can feel it in my core! 

 

As long as it takes, I know it will be worth it, this love we have is deep and strong.  

I’m in this, I’m not walking away, we deserve this, no matter how long it takes. 

We’re connected, our souls are in love, and our human selves will find their way, and hopefully it won’t take too long. 

Either way, I’m here; the love, the connection, everything that is you, holding me here like glue, teaching me from my mistakes! 

 

As long as it takes for us to figure this out, to get it right, until I can officially be yours and forever by your side, 

I will stick it out, I will learn from everything I do wrong, I want to be your ideal partner in crime. 

I want to be everything you need me to be and more, and I plan to learn how as long as it takes on this wild ride. 

You and I will figure this out, we will join our souls in their eternal love, it’s just going to take time!
