 Loved You Then and I Always Will 

 

The love I have for you is soul deep, there was no choice given to me, so I loved you then and I always will. 

I may not have been what you wanted, and we’ve gone our separate ways, but the love I have for you remains. 

You still cross my mind every day and memories of us haunt me, just more proof that loving you was not just because I had a void to fill. 

My love for you is true and eternal, whether we’re together or not, this love left some stains. 

 

When I met you, I was looking for someone I could become friends with and get laid. 

Instead, my soul found her mate, my heart got broken and I don’t even have a friend. 

 I can’t regret you or the love I have for you because you opened me up to bringing forth more of my true self, but my broken heart was the price I paid. 

I gained and I lost, but I made a promise I intend to keep; I will never abandon you, and if you ever need a friend or someone to talk to, I will be there for you until the end. 

 

You may not be mine, not my lover or my friend, but the love I have for you remains forever. 

No distance, or time, or new people in my life can change a love that was there before we ever met. 

This love knows no boundaries, no end, it exists within me even though we’re not together. 

I’ve always loved; with everything I am, this love was no exception, though this time it was soul deep and beyond my control, but I still have no regret!
