Valentine’s Day

 Valentine’s Day 

  Valentine’s Day, a day for love, for lovers to express themselves, for romance. 

Another commercialized holiday to divide the loved from the unloved; the singles from the taken. 

When love shouldn’t need a day; love should be every day and not just for lovers but for everyone; maybe the world would be a better place if love was given more of a chance. 

Instead, people get so caught up in life and focusing on what they hate, that love has become more a word than a feeling; becoming forsaken! 

 

Valentine’s Day should be a day to reacquaint ourselves with feelings from family, friends, and lovers; not so much about money. 

Single people shouldn’t feel like the day isn’t for them, love should be for everyone, every day. 

But, today, it’s all about the dollar signs, not about feelings at all and that’s not funny. 

Society is turning love into hate, happiness into depression and the will to live into the desire to die; I know others see it too, yet it continues to be that way! 

 

I say we make Valentine’s Day a day for love, not just for lovers but for everyone. 

Show love to your friends, your family, your lover, your coworkers, and even your neighbors; everyone, just spread the love around. 

More love means less hate and that is what this world needs, not more money or power, not status, not more shit; it needs more love and if we work together, it can be done. 

Though it shouldn’t only be for Valentine’s Day, it should be a daily ritual, make it a point to spread love especially wherever hate is found!
