True Love 

 

True love is recognizing my own toxic traits and working on them, so they won’t keep causing problems, that’s how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is facing my issues and trying to find healthy outlets to express myself and move past them, that’s how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is accepting that you have issues too and doing my best to learn how to not aggravate them, that’s how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is physically feeling my heart aching, afraid of breaking, afraid of losing you, that’s how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is admitting I’m wrong, apologizing and doing everything I can to not make the same mistake again, that's how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is missing you with every breath I take, that's how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is thinking about you with every beat of my heart, that's how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is seeing you in every man’s face, that's how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is about finding that one person you know you can’t stand the thought of living without, and baby, that's you, that’s how I know my love for you is true!   

True love is waking up and ugly crying because I am flooded with the fear of losing you, that’s how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is knowing you are battling demons of your own and loving you even more for them, that’s how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is wanting to be a better person, to better be what you need, that’s how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is wanting only you to hold me, only you to touch me, only you to kiss me, that’s how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is knowing I am better in almost every way because you came into my life, that’s how I know my love for you is true!  

True love is knowing I can’t lose you; I must do whatever I can on my part, to fix any problems we come across, that’s how I know my love for you is true!  

Baby, I can never lose you because I finally know what true love is!!
