Never Before 

 

Never before, was my heart touched so quickly, giving me no chance to brace myself… 

Never before, have I not had the chance to guard myself, to guard my heart… 

Never before has something so magical touched my soul, bringing me to life. 

Never before, have I felt that everything in my life had been bringing me to this point, this place, this man… 

Never before, has someone brought me back to the person I was before life broke me… 

Never before, did I believe there was anyone out there that could love me the way I needed… 

Never before, did I think I wasn’t asking too much from my partners for asking for the little things… 

Never before, did I have a man do all the little things without me asking or even telling him what those little things were! 

Never before, have I felt like a man knew how to love me, like he’s been perfecting it over lifetimes… 

Never before have I known a love like this, and I’m never letting it go!

This connection has been life changing for me. My love completely caught me of guard, he had me feeling some seriously deep feelings after meeting him once and he continued to build on that until he realized he had caught feelings too and hit the brakes. So the dynamic has changed since the beginning, but he still has an unexplainable affect on me, still makes feelings grow, even when he is trying

to push me away at the same time.
