What I Was Missing

 What I Was Missing  

  

You came barreling into my life like a freight train out of the night...  

Not wasting a second in showing me what I’ve been missing all along...  

Starting with the very first hug, engulfing me in your big, strong arms and holding me tight...  

In such a brief moment, you taught my heart and soul a new joyful song!  

  

The energy you brought to the table was like nothing I had ever experienced before...  

The way you looked at me, the way you touched me, the way you kissed me...  

You showed me love and affection, attention and priority at a level I had thought only existed in folklore...  

You awakened a love in me that had been waiting for you to come along and remind me of our past lifetimes of love, it’s our time, you’ll see!  

  

You showed me what I was missing and then you took it away...  

But I’m not giving up on getting it back, because we both deserve to be loved the way we can love each other!
