My Heart

 My Heart   

My heart is damaged, battered and broken, patched back together with hopes and dreams of a love that will stay!  

My heart has seen more hurt, grief and abandonment than I care to share!  

My heart has survived immense pain and longing yet beats on!  

My heart refuses to let the past destroy its hope for a beautiful future full of love!  

My heart has so much love to give to the one willing to receive and appreciate it!  

My heart just wants to love and be loved, to know that someone really cares and won’t love me and leave me!  

My heart says he is the one, the one to love and to cherish until the end of time!  

My heart belongs to him if chooses to accept it and the love offered!
