I know I should just walk away 

Not let these feelings grow 

I know it’s gonna hurt if I stay 

But my soul and my heart won’t let me go! 

 

I will stay to see where we end 

I won’t be able to escape my love for you 

I will continue to bend 

doing everything, I need to...... 

 

So, you feel loved and wanted 

So, you know just how loved you are 

Because many lifetimes ago this love was planted 

A wish granted upon a star 

 

Though I know this love will probably 

Destroy me, I can’t just walk away!

This isn't a fairytale love story. This is a love story with two very broken people trying to not be hurt anymore, but hurting each other unintentionally while trying to protect themselves. Making me think I should walk away, but knowing I can't because this love is a gift!
