Choose Me, Keep Me 

 

Choose me to be yours 

Keep me by your side 

The two of us could be the couple everyone adores 

This could be one heck of a ride 

 

Choose me to keep me sane 

Keep me for the peace you need 

I can teach you to let loose and dance in the rain 

This is the start of something beautiful indeed 

 

Choose me to be your one and only 

Keep me for the love I give you 

You no longer have to be lonely 

Loving you is what I was put on this earth to do!

This was during the rough time we were having after he first caught feelings and was pushing me a way a bit to protect himself, afraid I would leave like so many have before me. This poem was a small way to reassure him that I wanted to be his and provide him with the peace he needs.
