Within Me

 Within Me 

 

There was once a sweet, patient, creative, caring girl... 

With hopes, dreams and an open mind for a beautiful future... 

But it didn’t take long for the world to start to beat her down... 

Showing her just how unfair and cruel life and the people in it can be... 

So, she started to recede into the darkness, sinking deeper within herself, within me... 

Finding safety, in dark quiet cell within her heart, within my heart... 

Somewhere along the way, the door got locked, leaving her no way of escape... 

Then one day, out of nowhere, came a guiding light out of the darkness... 

He comforted that girl, now a woman within me... 

He let her know it was okay, the world may be cruel, but he would keep her safe... 

He unlocked the door, and slowly this wonderful girl, now a woman, starts to emerge from 

 within me, to start her like anew with her guiding light by her side!
