 A Little Less Grinchy 

I woke up this morning with a heavy heart, dreading facing the holiday alone again this year. 

So, I got up and prepared myself to fake it to make it and not let everyone see it’s getting to me. 

Seeing the snow down didn't really help my mood any, just make me wish a little harder to put this year in the rear. 

Still, I cleaned off my truck and dragged myself to work, not exactly where I wanted to be! 

 

Then my phone showed there was a message from you; you wanted to see me for the holiday. 

Suddenly, I became a little less grinchy all because you were going to make time to see me! 

First tomorrow, but you weren’t sure you could make it happen, so we switched it around and I got to see you today. 

Seeing you made my holiday, seeing your beautiful sincere smile, made this my best Christmas Eve, and I definitely became a little less grinchy!
